I loved making this cake! It was so girly and sparkly and beautiful!
All details are fondant and cake is also covered in fondant.
Cakes were chocolate and banana.
This is a vanilla cake with a scrumptious vanilla buttercream that tastes like softserve vanilla ice cream! Its sides are coated in sprinkles and a swirl of bright pink strawberry syrup which I also used to fill the cake along with the vanilla buttercream.
My eldest son requested a beyblade cake for his birthday last year which ended up being quite a challenge!
I decided to make silver beyblades to go around the cake and some red ones for the cupcake toppers. I used a beyblade (washed of course) to imprint the pattern onto some rolled out white fondant. I then used a sharp knife to cut the edges to be “spikey”. Once the Beyblades were all cut I used my luster dust and orange essence to paint them silver. My birthday boy got to get in on the painting and helped me with this part which was pretty special!
These are my first cake pops ever! I never realised how easy it was and now I have something to make out of all my cake off-cuts instead of throwing them out. These are chocolate cake pops dipped in milk chocolate and white chocolate drizzle.
